About

I’m a final-year student at the University of Canberra. I grew up in the USA and Morocco but moved to Australia in 2016. Once I started my pharmacy degree, I joined my local branch where I served as Vice-President for two consecutive terms, whilst being the 2023 NAPSA Congress Chair. Currently, I am the 2023/24 IPSF Chair. I’m in charge of the student exchange program in Australia and am responsible for organising exchanges of international students to Australia, and Australian students going overseas. I am constantly in contact with other host countries, hosting and attending information nights, and representing Australia in meetings with our regional working group, APRO.

I started studying Pharmacy because in my late teens I saw the deaths of too many friends from overdose, and wanted to help improve the social benefit our industry contributes. Passionate about harm minimisation, queer health and supporting the most vulnerable in our communities, I put my hand up to be NAPSA Treasurer in my second year of studies. Beyond managing the finances and backend governance of our association, being Treasurer has enabled me to meet countless stakeholders from across the country, and work with them on building the future of pharmacy.

I have just finished up my Bachelor of Pharmacy at The University of Canberra and am starting my internship as a hospital pharmacist up in Brisbane. I have a passion for NAPSA, having been the president of my local branch CaSPA for two years. I was the Vice Congress Chair for NAPSA Congress in January 2023 and NAPSA Research Chair in the 2022-23 term. I hope to continue to advocate for and engage with pharmacy students across Australia during my term.

In my role as the Executive Director of Education and Professional Development, I organise national webinars for NAPSA, assist branches to host educational events and offer opportunities for the professional development of all NAPSA members. I am studying at the University of Tasmania in Hobart. I attended university straight after graduating, but my experience lies within being a Queen's Guide and having assisted in the running of Guiding units, as well as being an assistant instructor in Lai Taekwon-Do. I enjoy learning about a broad range of subjects, and am excited to be applying this to pharmacy.

As the Executive Director for Internal & External Affairs, my role consists of facilitating communication between the 19 pharmacy schools across the country and their respective pharmacy student associations. Representing NAPSA is an incredible opportunity to advocate for and represent pharmacy students nationwide. I am currently studying at James Cook University in Cairns and am in my third year of an embedded honours program. I am particularly passionate about rural health and giving back to those in need. In my spare time I enjoy baking, painting, reading and spending time exploring nature.

I am a 3rd year pharmacy student at James Cook University in Townsville. I am the NAPSA IPSF Director and it is my job to liaise with the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation who represent pharmacy students all around the world. I ensure that the mutual interests of NAPSA and IPSF are carried out, including promoting world health campaigns, providing education on pharmacy in Australia via webinars, and ensuring that NAPSA’s voice is heard on the international stage. In my down time I like to watch the Canberra Raiders and spend time with friends.

Research Director

I am a fourth year pharmacy student at the University of Canberra. As Research Director, my role is to provide and promote research opportunities to students across Australia, through initiatives like the poster competition, research symposiums, the research notice board and so much more! I also have the privilege to be Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Pharmacy Students’ Journal (APSJ), an amazing platform that allows students to publish academic work. An important goal I want to achieve during my term is to get as many students excited about research and demystify the field. You can be a student and get involved as a researcher, you can write articles and publish your work in a peer-reviewed journal, nothing is impossible! Outside of uni work, I enjoy reading, learning new languages and taking occasional naps.
