The new NAPSA committee has been working hard over the past three months to ensure that you guys get the most out of your membership and also the most out of your time at uni. If you didn’t manage to read your last Placebo then I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the NAPSA Executive for the 2007-08 term. These guys are a great team and are here to serve you, the members of NAPSA, so please feel free to drop anyone of us a line and send through any comments or queries you may have.
NAPSA Vampire Cup Results![]() Jackie Diljore from the Australian Red Cross Blood Service with Max Standage (Pro-Vice Chancellor of Health and Science) and Tony Blake (Vice President of GUAPS). This competition is aimed at not only boosting the short supply of blood but fostering a community spirit amongst Australian pharmacy students. Throughout the six week competition we managed to register 101 donations which has helped the lives of over 300 people. Congratulations go to the Griffith University Association of Pharmacy Students (GUAPS) who gained the highest percentage of donations and have won their branch the Vampire Cup Trophy but also a gift voucher valued at over $200. The results are as follows:
NAPSA Congress Textbook Drive![]() NAPSA is organising a Textbook Drive that aims to raise as many textbooks as possible to be donated to less fortunate Pharmacy students in the Asia-Pacific region. All textbooks should be brought to Sydney Congress by your Branch delegates where they will be collected and sent to a nominated country in our region. Start rummaging through your cupboards for those textbooks and DONATE them for a good cause!!! For more details, please contact a committee member from your branch.
IPSF Student Exchange ProgrammeHave you always wanted to go overseas but never found the chance or reason to? Have you ever dreamt about practising Pharmacy in a foreign country? How different would their Pharmacy practice be compared to Australia?Well, the IPSF Student Exchange Programme provides all of that and a whole lot more!
