Most Commonly Asked Member Q&A's

Which members are eligible to apply for the NAPSA/PSA Student Credit Card?
All Australian residents that are members of the NAPS/PSA are eligible to apply for the Card.

How do members apply for the NAPSA/PSA Student Credit Card?

Members should return applications directly to American Express. You may apply by downloading and completing the application form or by phoning NAPSA on 0403 320 899 to have a brochure and application sent to you.

How long will it take for members to receive their Card?
Members should receive their card approximately 15 working days after they have submitted their application form to American Express.

Where can members use the NAPSA/PSA Student Credit Card?
The Card can be used at any business that accepts American Express as a payment option and/or displays the American Express or Membership Rewards logo. This includes supermarkets, department stores, airlines, petrol stations, telecommunications companies and many other day-to-day retailers.

What happens if a member loses their Card or needs a replacement?
Members must immediately inform American Express if their Card is lost, stolen or destroyed. In Australia, call 1300 36 36 87 (24 hrs/7 days). If overseas, report the lost or stolen card to the nearest American Express Travel or Representative office. Once American Express has been notified, the member is not liable for any unauthorised charges. The sooner the loss or theft is reported, the sooner a replacement card can be issued- usually within one to five business days in an emergency, almost anywhere in the world.

How do members redeem MR points for flights and other rewards?
Members can call the Membership Rewards help desk on 1300 36 32 76 to convert MR points to frequent flyer points or to redeem other rewards. A catalogue is available at www.americanexpress.com.au and members can redeem points online too. Please note that members must be a member of the frequent flyer program before transferring MR points.

Does NAPSA and PSA receive a commission on these Cards?
NAPSA and PSA receive from American Express a percentage of all billings and a payment per Card account opened.
