National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association

Membership in the Tasmanian Association of Pharmacy Students is open to all students enrolled in Pharmacy and graduates of not more than two years.

TAPS provides regular and enjoyable social activities throughout the year and acts, in a variety of ways, to protect and improve the interests of members.

TAPS also acts to provide certain student requisites and text books at significantly reduced prices.

TAPS annually affiliates with the University Union Societies Council which provides financial assistance and makes available many facilities and services.

TAPS endeavours to:

The aim of TAPS is to represent Tasmanian Pharmacy students within the University of Tasmania and abroad by offering social and educational opportunities to our members, including the following:

  • Local TUU-affiliated social and educational events
  • National NAPSA-affiliated social and educational events
  • Discounted First Aid and Wound Care Courses, Text Books and educational software
  • Opportunities to Liaison/Network with professional representatives and industry persons at social and educational events i.e. PSA, PGA, PDL.
  • Attend various social events i.e. The Annual TAPS Pharmacy Ball and Cocktail parties.
  • Opportunities to run for positions of leadership within the TAPS and NAPSA boards
