The Queensland Pharmacy Students’ Association (QPSA) is a non-for-profit student association, located at the Pharmacy Australian Centre of Excellence, adjacent to the Princess Alexandra Hospital at Woolloongabba.
The QPSA has a long standing establishment in the UQ social scene providing students with the opportunity to mingle with both students from other courses, within pharmacy and with pharmaceutical representatives endeavouring to ensure contacts in the industry. We strive to provide educational sessions that are relevant, interesting and increase the breadth of knowledge of graduating students.
QPSA endeavours to:
- Provide networking opportunities between fellow pharmacy students on a state and national level and between pharmaceutical focused organisations.
- Promote pharmacy awareness within the community and on a tertiary education level.
- To promote the rights of a pharmacy student on experiential placements and within external pharmacy student employment.
- To provide vocational options for future employment to pharmacy students.
- To provide further educational opportunities to pharmacy students through external resources.
- To provide pharmacy students with current professional information.
- To portray the role as future health care advocates.
